Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) in April hosted a series of lectures featuring distinguished scholars and experts in philosophy, music, and artificial intelligence, offering students diverse perspectives on culture, education, and contemporary society.
On 1 April, Prof Zhang Shuguang, Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Philosophy of Beijing Normal University, delivered a lecture titled “Knowledge Acquisition, Spiritual Awakening and Significance Creation”. He explored the relationship between knowledge, spirituality, and meaning-making in human development.

On 7 April, Prof Liu Chengji, the PhD advisor at BNU and specially appointed professor of Changjiang Scholars by the Ministry of Education, presented a lecture titled "The Beautiful Spirit of Chinese Culture", leading the audience on a journey of discovery into the spirit of Chinese aesthetics.

On 20 April, renowned conductor Mr Yu Hai, National First-Class Conductor and former Director and Conductor of the Military Band of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, gave a themed lecture titled “The National Anthem We Love Most”. Drawing on his lifelong dedication to the national anthem and his rich artistic experience, he shared reflections on patriotism and musical culture with faculty and students.

Also, Prof Yao Xin, Vice-President (Research and Innovation) and Tong Tin Sun Chair Professor of Machine Learning at Lingnan University, delivered a lecture titled “Why Is Liberal Arts Education More Important in the AI Age”. He discussed the growing significance of liberal arts education amid rapid advances in artificial intelligence.
