2026年6月20日，北师香港浸会大学（BNBU）举办第十八届毕业典礼暨荣誉院士颁授典礼，授予五位杰出人士荣誉院士荣衔。菲尔兹奖得主、中国科学院外籍院士、美国科学院院士埃菲·杰曼诺夫教授（Efim Zelmanov) 作为荣誉院士代表致谢辞。
“我曾说过，BNBU是一所汇聚友谊的大学。今天，我很高兴地宣布，我也成为了这个大家庭的一员。”埃菲·杰曼诺夫教授表示，北师港浸大作为中国内地第一所创新型博雅大学，体现了协作、国际化以及面向未来的愿景。“作为荣誉院士，我们很荣幸能见证BNBU的成长，并期待以我们的绵薄之力，为学校的未来发展作出贡献。”致辞视频和全文如下：

Mr Chairman, President Chen, distinguished Honorary Fellows, faculty members, students and honourable guests,
Good afternoon!
First, on behalf of all five Honorary Fellows, I would like to express our deep gratitude to BNBU for conferring this honor upon us. It is a privilege to be named an Honorary Fellow at this rapidly growing university. This is my third time at BNBU. I have mentioned before that BNBU is a university of friends. Today, I am delighted to say that I am now also part of this family.
To all graduates: my warmest congratulations on completing your studies and receiving your diploma. Today is a celebration of your hard work, resilience, and dedication over the years. You have reached a significant milestone, and I believe that the Whole Person Education you’ve received here at BNBU has prepared you well for the future.
BNBU is the first innovative liberal arts university in the Chinese mainland. It reflects a vision of collaboration, internationalization, and a commitment to the future. I deeply admire the founders and educators who have built this remarkable institution. As Honorary Fellows, we are honored to witness BNBU’s growth and look forward to contributing, in our own small way, to its continued success.
Dear graduates: as you prepare to step into the next chapter of your lives—whether that’s further studies, a new career, or other exciting paths—I want to share a simple thought with you. We live in an era shaped by artificial intelligence, but no technology can replace creativity, critical thinking, or a deep understanding of fundamental principles—whether in mathematics, science, or any other field. Continue to build a strong foundation, stay curious and embrace lifelong learning. These are the qualities that will help you adapt, innovate, and thrive in a world that is constantly evolving.
At the same time, I hope you will never forget the gifts that BNBU, your alma mater, has given you. Carry forward the values and spirit of BNBU as you make your mark on the world.
Once again, my heartfelt congratulations to all of you. This is your moment. Celebrate it, cherish it, and step boldly into the future. I wish you every success on the road ahead.
