The second graduation ceremony for the Class of 2026 successfully held in Hong Kong

From 22 to 23 June 2026, the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) Graduation Ceremony for Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) graduates was held in Hong Kong, celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2026.

The ceremony was attended by BNBU President Prof Chen Zhi, Provost Prof Patrick Chau, Associate Vice President (Global Engagement) and Dean of the Graduate School Prof Huang Yu, Academic Registrar Prof Li Jianhui, and other University representatives.

This year, more than 2,200 undergraduate students received BNBU graduation certificates and bachelor's degrees conferred by HKBU, while over 1,300 postgraduate students were awarded HKBU degrees.

Across five graduation sessions, HKBU representatives, including Prof Andrew Kwok, Dean of the School of Continuing Education Prof Ronald Chung, Associate Dean (Taught Postgraduate Studies) of the School of Business Prof Monique Wan, and Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning) of the School of Science Prof Jade Shi, encouraged graduates to embrace lifelong learning, think critically, and meet the opportunities and challenges of the AI era with wisdom, creativity, and a strong sense of responsibility. Student representatives also reflected on their transformative learning experiences at BNBU, highlighting the University's liberal arts education, interdisciplinary learning environment, and culture of intellectual curiosity.

Members of the Class of 2026 will continue their journeys at leading universities and organisations around the world. As of June 2026, graduates pursuing further studies have received offers from prestigious institutions including Imperial College London, the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, the National University of Singapore, Yale University, and Carnegie Mellon University, while others have joined leading enterprises, financial institutions, and public organisations in mainland and Hong Kong.

The ceremony marked both the completion of the graduates' academic journey at BNBU and the beginning of a new chapter as they pursue further study, professional careers, and opportunities around the world.
