Good afternoon everyone,
It is such an honour to stand here today as a representative of the graduating class from Applied Economics in the Faculty of Business and Management.
Honestly, it still feels a little unreal that graduation is already here.
Four years ago, we walked onto this campus as freshmen who were excited, nervous, and probably a little lost. We were trying to adapt to new classes, new friends, and a completely new environment. And now, somehow, we are sitting here as graduates, getting ready for the next stage of our lives.
I think the university gave us much more than academic knowledge.
Of course, we learned economics, business, statistics, and many professional skills. We stayed up late finishing assignments, preparing presentations, and studying for exams. There were stressful moments and moments when we doubted ourselves.
But looking back now, I realise the most important things we learned were not only from textbooks.
We learned how to communicate with different people. We learned how to work in teams. We learned how to handle pressure and responsibility. And most importantly, we learned how to grow through challenges.
I believe many of us have changed a lot during these four years. Some became more confident, some became more independent, and some discovered what they truly want to do in the future.
Today, I really want to say thank you. First, thank you to our professors and teachers for your patience, support, and guidance throughout these years. Thank you to our parents and families for always supporting us behind the scenes. We would not be here without your love and sacrifices. And of course, thank you to my friends and classmates. Thank you for all the memories, the support during stressful times, and the unforgettable experiences we shared together.
As we graduate today, many of us are excited about the future, but also a little uncertain. Some people will continue studying, some will start working, and some are still searching for their path.
But I think that is completely okay.
No matter where we go after today, I hope we will continue to be curious, brave, and open to new experiences. I hope we will keep growing and becoming better versions of ourselves.
Finally, congratulations to the Class of 2026.
I hope years later, when we look back at university life, we will remember not only our achievements, but also the people we met, the lessons we learned, and the person we became along the way.
Thank you everyone, and congratulations again.
