In the delivery of teaching when teaching and learning activities take place in the classroom or in an out-of-class environment, student learning engagement is the primary concern of teachers. The technological-oriented behaviour of our students who are digital natives calls for the application of digital resources to facilitate their engagement. In this workshop, i-tools such as Kahoot, Slido, Mentimeter. Poll Everywhere, TinyURL, and QR code Generator will be introduced. Other applications from the i-Space platform will also be demonstrated to add to the diverse i-tools available in UIC to support our effective and quality teaching. Possible learning analytics from the applications of the i-tools will be explored.
Intended Learning Outcomes
After this workshop, participants will be able to:
1) identify useful i-tools to engage students in active learning.
2) access i-tools which are embedded in the i-Space Platform.
3) describe some possible learning analytics of students from the applications of these i-tools.
A light lunch will be served.
